What Hunting and being Outdoors is all about!!

This story was related to me this last weekend by my lease manager Ralph Hightower.

We were setting around the campfire on Saturday night when Camden (Ralph's 7 year old nephew) came up and sat down by Ralph. You could tell by the way Camden looked at Ralph that he was one of his HEROES, and just being there was a highlight of his day.

Ralph said I got a story about a picnic I want to tell ya'll.

He then went on to say that he, his brother Micah, and Micah's son Camden were going hunting that day, and that Micah was taking the 4 wheeler, so he and Camden were going to go in his pickup. Well, before they left, Camden ask Ralph if he would like to have a picnic while they were out in the woods that day, of course said Ralph, that sounds good. Ralph said Camden went on to get his lunch box, but Ralph was busy loading his gear so he did not know what Camden was taking for their picnic.

When they got to the woods Ralph pulled up by a tree and told Camden he wanted him to set beside it and that he would go down and set at another one, but would stay in sight so he could keep an eye on him. Camden got out ,along with his pellet rifle and lunch box, and ask Ralph if he wanted to have the picnic then, Ralph said no lets wait until I come pick you up. So, off Ralph went to his tree. When he got set up, he was watching Camden and saw him break a limb off the tree he was setting at, he then took off his cap and hung it on the stub of the broken limb. He then took the limb and started to clean a spot on the ground.  Ralph was not sure what he was up to and went back to watching for deer.

When it came time to leave Ralph went back to pick Camden up, and of course the first question Camden had was, ARE YOU READY FOR THE PICNIC? Ralph said yes, so Camden and he sat down in the spot that Camden had cleaned off and he brought out the lunch box with the picnic stuff in it.

Now pitcher a 7 year old boy out in the woods with his favorite uncle and hero, opening what to him is the best picnic lunch ever.

It, said Ralph, was THE BEST PICNIC HE HAD EVER HAD, it consisted of:

ONE SMALL BAG OF CHEETOS AND 2 SMALL BOXES OF JUICE!!!

To me this is what it is all about!!!!!
